my timeless journeys

8.24.2006

It's just now that it fully sinked in that it's already second quarter. Even if it already is five days ago. Hmm, so here goes my update for the past few weeks.

Well, we've been terribly busy preparing for our Chemistry Magic Show. This Magic Show is our project for the Second Quarter. Since this is our first "play" or "presentation", we all worked our butts over a ten-minute presentation. We killed ourselves practicing and dubbing, panicked over props and sounds; and almost stayed overnight doing backdrop- which wasn't even put up [it was just held up by two people]. Our presentation was ok- though many complained that our story was too deep to comprehend. We didn't win, and I don't really care if we did or not. The most important thing is that we as a group became bonded because of this. These late night practices sucked our our energy but we were happy. And that's what counts right? The whole class helped each other through this, regardless of our groupings. And it was really fun.

After the Chemistry Magic Show came the periodical tests. Hmm, I have to say that we are more free during the two-week periodical rather than the other days when we are always loaded with assignments. Periodical tests, in my opinion, were even easier. At the last day of examinations, our class went straight to SM Manila for our "class shopping." Hmm, it was really fun. I'll scan our pics when I have the time. We ate lunch at Karate Kid and did our grocery at the SM Supermarket. We had this challenge between two groups on finishing our list first and we somehow "rioted" inside the supermarket. It was kind of embarrassing because we were still in our school uniforms. But we didn't really care much because we were having so much fun. We went to look for a gift for Ms. Bagsik afterwards. We bought her a really really comfy pillow. Hehe. Then some of us had to "sell" the extra movie tickets that Dan and the other guys bought by mistake. Hmm, must be a fun experience for them to sell movie tickets, huh? Well, I, Gabs and Alrick ended up watching Mortuary by ourselves.

There was no classes on Monday and Tuesday came and we didn't really study that much. We just sat around class the whole day fooling around, and fantasizing about our retreat the following day.

Retreat was f-u-n. Hmm, actually, it kinda depends on who you go to retreat with. Because I found the retreat proper somewhat boring- except for that... Ooops, no spoiler here. All I could say is that I love my classmates. :p I just came back to the real world yesterday. And Gabs, Alrick and I still went to SM Manila when we got back to school. So I didn't get home till seven pm. I was exhausted. x_X

And today, yes, it's back to the real, crazy world of endless problems and facing the harsh realities of life. I'm not really sure if I'm already ready to face real life, but I don't think I could escape reality forever. I'll have to face these problems sooner or later. @_@ No use in hiding forever, right? Well, I guess that's what the retreat has taught me- to be braver, and be more optimistic about life. We also had a symposium a while ago. It took half of our day. Weee. It was erm, boring? Well, I don't know because I fell asleep halfway through the symposium. :D We were asked to sit in an alternate boy-girl seatplan. I was seated between Fish and Allen. And uhm, I was bored to death because they were sleeping so I feel asleep too. Hehe. I was awake at some parts and I didn't find it interesting at all; [it was gross]. Hopefully, we will still have no assignments by tomorrow so that I could advance study on some subjects and stay in cloud 9 even a little while longer. :D

P.S.: Love you three bee. :D
